CONTENT A descriptive flier promoting geometrical design and timber frame construction for school children, Astrid's House is a kit form, child scale, hand carpentered oak timber frame building brought to the classroom as components and erected under instruction by the children. The project commences with the daisy wheel geometrical layout that governs the proportions and form of the building before leading on to its construction. The children are introduced to the historic period, wear appropriate clothes and assume period personalities such as carpenter, monk, etc.
