Laurie Smith is an independent early building design researcher specialising in geometrical design systems. Because geometry was part of the medieval curriculum he uses geometrical analysis to excavate the design methodologies of the past, a process he thinks of as design archaeology.
Historic Building Geometry is a record of his findings, presented as a series of papers, some just a few pages long, others of chapter or book length. Some have been published. Others are presented here for the first time. All are FREE to download but please read the terms first.
